Environmental Policy Statement
OSEC Systems recognises its responsibility towards the environment and issues this statement of commitment to minimising the environmental impact of its business activities.
OSEC Systems commits itself to:
- Being aware of how its activities and services impact upon the environment and is committed to complying with relevant environmental legislation and regulations and to other requirements to which the organisation subscribes.
- Identifying objectives across the business aimed at continual improvement of its environmental performance by building environmental considerations into its decision-making processes and methods of operation.
- Ensuring that all OSEC Systems activities and services, giving rise to significant environmental effects, are covered by this policy and that the policy is implemented, maintained, and communicated to all employees.
- Minimising the environmental impact for the life cycle (including disposal) of plant, equipment, and other assets.
- Communicating this policy to its staff, supply-chain and customers.
- Requiring its suppliers and contractors to have a proper regard for the OSEC Systems Environmental Policy for the goods and services they provide.
The negative impact that mankind, and in particular large business has caused the environment can no-longer be ignored. As such, OSEC systems is committed to not only reducing our own environmental impact, but also seeks to educate and encourage our direct and indirect workforce, suppliers, and customers to bring about positive reform for the benefit of future generations.
OSEC Systems promotes the following:
- Working from home and online meetings over office attendance and face to face appointments.
- Encourages clients to use energy efficient hardware and equipment wherever possible by offering reduced pricing when procuring such items through OSEC.
- Promotes car-sharing and efficient visit scheduling to reduce carbon emissions produced by road travel.
- Promotes the use of public transport for site attendance whenever possible.
- Additional energy efficiency schemes are also promoted to our employees. These include: -
- Annual bonus’ for vegetarianism and veganism for all employees.
- 50% of energy-efficient lighting in the home is reimbursed to employees.
- Up to 40% of home improvements (that improve efficiency) are reimbursed to employees.
This policy will be reviewed annually as part of the Management review process to ensure its continued relevance and adequacy.
